- Investigating Microtubule Nanomechanics and Turnover in Cellular Environments -
This doctoral project will utilize advanced parallel, atomistic, and coarse-grained modeling techniques to explore the dynamic and mechanical properties of microtubule filaments influenced by external forces and cellular constraints.
Candidate Profile
Ideal candidates will possess a solid foundation in one or more of the following areas: computational (bio)physics, structural biology, statistical mechanics, and scientific computing. Applicants should hold (or anticipate completing) a Master's degree or equivalent in a relevant field. A strong interest in interdisciplinary research and collaboration with experimental teams is highly desirable.

Position Details
Compensation and benefits are aligned with the public service wage agreement (TVöD Bund) standards. The position is intended to be filled promptly, but the exact start date is flexible.
Candidates will have the chance to engage in one of several available PhD programs, with funding for three years, in collaboration with a prominent university. Master’s students interested in a fast-track PhD are also encouraged to apply.
