About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Linux/Unix System Administrator to join our team at Swiss IT Security Group. As a key member of our IT team, you will be responsible for the installation, configuration, administration, and migration of systems and patches, as well as troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, configure, and administer Linux/Unix systems, including servers and workstations
  • Migrate systems and patches to ensure optimal performance and security
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, including hardware and software problems
  • Configure and manage software solutions, including Ansible
  • Automate IT infrastructure using Python, Perl, or Bash
  • Plan and execute rollouts of new hardware and software at customer sites
Requirements
  • Successful completion of a degree in a relevant field, such as IT or computer science
  • Several years of experience in administering Linux/Unix systems, including servers and workstations
  • Strong knowledge of web servers, including Apache, Nginx, and Varnish
  • Experience with technologies such as Tomcat, JBoss EAP, WildFly, MySQL/MariaDB, PostgreSQL, and Oracle
  • Knowledge of container technologies, including Kubernetes, Rancher, and OpenShift
  • Experience with PHP, WAF, WMSMapserver, Geoserver, PostGIS, and Matomo is an asset
