About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Linux/Unix System Administrator to join our team at Swiss IT Security Group. As a key member of our System Engineering team, you will be responsible for the installation, configuration, administration, and migration of systems and patches.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, configure, administer, and migrate systems and patches
  • Perform first and second-level support for system-related issues
  • Prepare and implement customer-specific requirements
  • Manage system configurations using software solutions like Ansible
  • Automate IT infrastructure using Python, Perl, or Bash
  • Plan and execute rollouts of new hardware and software for customers
Requirements
  • Successful completion of a degree in IT or equivalent qualification
  • Several years of experience in server administration in a Unix/Linux environment (Solaris, Ubuntu Server LTS, RHEL/CentOS, SLES, Debian)
  • Good knowledge of web servers (Apache, Nginx, Varnish Webcache)
  • Good knowledge of technologies like Tomcat, JBoss EAP, WildFly, MySQL/MariaDB (including clustering), PostgreSQL, Oracle (DBA basics)
  • Good knowledge of container technologies (Kubernetes, Rancher, OpenShift)
  • Knowledge of PHP, WAF, WMS Mapserver, Geoserver, PostGIS, Matomo is an asset
