Linux System Administrator

We are seeking a highly skilled Linux system administrator to join our team at Yalwa GmbH. As a key member of our technical team, you will be responsible for the build and maintenance of our production infrastructure, ensuring the smooth operation of our high-traffic web applications within a LAMP environment.
Key Responsibilities- Infrastructure Management: Build and maintain production infrastructure, including configuration management, troubleshooting, software updates, and improvements.
- Monitoring and Alerting: Monitor all systems, including Nagios and email/SMS notifications, to ensure prompt identification and resolution of issues.
- Database and Web Server Administration: Administer databases and web servers, preferably MySQL and Apache/Nginx, to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Analysis and Optimization: Analyze system performance, security, and capacity to identify areas for improvement and implement changes as needed.
- Site Reliability Management: Ensure the reliability and availability of our systems, including participation in rotational on-call duty.
- Virtualization and Provisioning: Utilize KVM/libvirt based Linux virtualization and tools like Terraform and Ansible for build and provisioning.
- Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Create and maintain relevant documentation to ensure knowledge sharing and collaboration within the team.
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related fields.
- Experience: 5 years of relevant work experience aligned with the job description.
- Skills: Strong ability to work independently and with a structured approach, proficiency in English.
