Global Purchasing Controller

About the Role

The Global Purchasing Controller plays a crucial role in ensuring the company's business objectives are met through accurate reporting and controlling expertise. As a member of the Purchasing Control Team, this individual drives key performance indicators (KPIs), supports business development activities, and provides in-depth analysis of purchasing data, results, and forecasts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and consolidate the function budget, headcount, reporting, and finance alignment
  • Support Divisions in their reporting and Purchase data management following the global process and Controlling methodology
  • Facilitate and assure correct reporting according to function's organization, e.g., Category, Product Area, Program, and Indirect
  • Support functions' strategic initiatives and governance by controlling, analysis, reports, and development
  • Facilitate strategic meetings & forums
  • Drive functions, format, communication, and channel standardization in close collaboration with the Business Office
  • Monitor Purchasing systems and support development of functions master data process
  • Drive the functions' ESG scope by defining measurables, monitor, track, and report
  • Proactively develop the Forecast Process and Scenarios, commercial and/or supply capacity, to identify risk and potential
  • Supply base controlling, Master Data management, Supply Risk and Capacity Analysis
  • Represent and align with functions in the areas of key responsibilities, e.g., SIOP, Operations, Finance, Purchasing, IT
Requirements

To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will possess:

  • Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in engineering or business administration
  • 3-5 years of experience within supply chain and controlling in an international corporation
  • IT skills: ERP (preferably SAP), Excel, PowerPoint, and other global systems, e.g., PLM, PowerBI
  • Strong analytical skills and data visualization, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively across functions
  • Excellent communication, ownership, and team-building abilities
  • Fluent English language skills (verbal and written)
Preferred Qualifications

The following qualifications are desirable:

  • Global, Automotive, and/or tech industry experience
  • Fluent German language skills
