Junior Marine Electrical Plan Approval Engineer

Job Summary
RINA is seeking a highly skilled Junior Marine Electrical Plan Approval Engineer to join its team in Hamburg, Germany. As a key member of the Marine North Europe Region Division, you will be responsible for ensuring the technical integrity of ship electrical installations and automation plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and approve electrical and automation system drawings, including autonomous ship technology and cyber security, to ensure compliance with Class Rules and Statutory Regulations.
- Provide guidance and support to clients during the design and construction phase, focusing on electrical and automation systems.
- Assist in the elaboration of detailed marine engineering plan reviews, adhering to RINA rules, international conventions, and contractual requirements.
- Support engineers or engineering teams by gathering data, submitting documentation, and performing day-to-day duties.
- Prepare project deliverables, including technical reports, project performance documentation, and engineering drawings.
- Take ownership of assigned tasks and manage their financial progress.
- Apply project management concepts and techniques to manage simple projects.
- Assess minor structural problems and determine solutions with minimal supervision.
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical or Marine Engineering or equivalent.
- 1-3 years of relevant work experience.
- Proficiency in English, with fluency in German being an advantage.
- Knowledge of relevant RINA Rules, statutory regulations, and international standards.
- Experience with PAX and RO RO PAX will be an advantage.
