Germany Machinery Plan Approval Senior Engineer

About the Role

RINA is seeking a highly skilled Germany Machinery Plan Approval Senior Engineer to join its team in Hamburg, Germany.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct detailed plan and design reviews to ensure compliance with Class Rules and Statutory Regulations.
  • Resolve issues related to conflicting design requirements and ensure client requirements are met.
  • Assist clients during the design and construction phase, providing guidance and support related to machinery and related systems.
  • Perform assessments and provide specialist advice for service delivery, research or development work within agreed broad parameters.
  • Oversee and manage day-to-day project elements, visit sites to take measurements.
  • Ensure correct and up-to-date data is used and complete documentation is submitted to officials.
  • Review project deliverables (technical reports, project performance documentations and engineering drawings, etc.).
  • Review progress reports and take appropriate action to ensure requirements are met.
  • Take ownership and responsibility over the financial progress of assigned tasks.
  • Apply project management concepts and techniques to manage simple and complex projects.
  • Assess complex structural problems for internal/external clients to determine solutions.
  • Answer complex contractor questions on behalf of the supervising engineer, and serve as liaisons between engineering and construction personnel.

Requirements

  • Degree in Naval Architecture, Naval Engineering or equivalent.
  • 3+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Proficiency in English. German or Dutch knowledge will be considered as an advantage.
  • Proven level of technical and scientific knowledge and the ability to apply this knowledge to practical problems.
  • Knowledge of relevant Class and Statutory Regulations.
  • Knowledge of Structural Software (FEA) as an advantage.
