Your Role

We are seeking a Head of Purchasing Production Material to join our team. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for strategic purchasing for all direct material and service procurement groups.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a global purchasing strategy to optimize material costs and improve supplier relationships.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to integrate purchasing functions in technical sales, research & development, and make-or-buy decisions.
  • Monitor and optimize global purchasing volume, coordinate potential savings, and develop benchmarks.
  • Develop lead buyer concepts for key product groups, support supplier development, and take on interface work.
  • Play a leading role in the implementation of SAP S/4HANA.

Requirements

  • Graduate degree in economics or engineering or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of relevant purchasing management methods, including supplier relationship management and global sourcing.
  • Ability to holistically assess product, technical specification, quality, and costs.
  • Good communication skills and interest in expanding your network.
  • Experience with global supplier markets, ideally in the aerospace industry.
  • Leadership experience, strong decision-making, and implementation skills, with a willingness to travel internationally.
  • Business fluent in German and English, with further foreign language skills desirable.
