Senior Procurement Specialist

Company Overview:

Our client stands at the forefront of developing and implementing innovative lightweight solutions tailored for the automotive sector. They are in search of a skilled professional to fill the role of Strategic Procurement Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute procurement activities encompassing needs assessment, market analysis, tendering, and price evaluations.
  • Facilitate national and international pricing negotiations, culminating in the establishment of framework purchasing agreements.
  • Enhance and broaden supplier management practices, including supplier assessment and performance metrics.
  • Formulate and execute sustainable category strategies to drive procurement efficiency.
  • Refine processes and achieve cost reductions through comprehensive global market analysis.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and internal departments to pinpoint cost-saving opportunities.
  • Oversee supplier relationships to foster advantageous partnerships.
  • Independently manage procurement projects from inception to completion.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Completed commercial training with additional qualifications as a Business Administrator or Technical Business Administrator, or equivalent.
  • Extensive experience in strategic and operational procurement, complemented by a robust technical acumen.
  • Familiarity with production methodologies, key performance indicators, bills of materials, and cost calculation in manufacturing.
  • Comprehension of contract law and supplier management principles.
  • Professional demeanor with a proactive approach and hands-on mentality.
  • Exceptional negotiation, communication, and assertiveness capabilities.
  • Methodical, precise, efficient, and results-driven work ethic.
  • Strong teamwork orientation, motivation, thoroughness, and dependability.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite and SAP software.
  • Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
