Company Overview:

Our client stands at the forefront of developing and implementing innovative lightweight solutions tailored for the automotive sector. They are in search of a skilled professional to fill the role of Strategic Procurement Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee procurement activities encompassing needs assessment, market analysis, tendering, and price evaluations.
  • Facilitate national and international negotiations on pricing and finalize framework purchasing agreements.
  • Enhance and broaden supplier management practices, including supplier assessments and performance metrics.
  • Formulate and execute sustainable category strategies.
  • Streamline processes and achieve cost efficiencies through comprehensive global market analysis.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and internal departments to pinpoint cost-saving opportunities.
  • Maintain supplier relationships to foster advantageous partnerships.
  • Independently lead procurement initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Completed commercial training with an additional qualification as a Business Administrator/Technical Business Administrator or equivalent.
  • Extensive experience in strategic and operational procurement, coupled with a robust technical understanding.
  • Familiarity with production processes, key performance indicators, bills of materials, and cost calculations in manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of contract law and supplier management practices.
  • Professional demeanor with a proactive approach and hands-on mentality.
  • Exceptional negotiation, communication, and assertiveness skills.
  • Methodical, precise, efficient, and results-driven work ethic.
  • Strong teamwork, motivation, attention to detail, and reliability.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite and SAP.
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
