Our client stands at the forefront of developing and implementing innovative lightweight solutions tailored for the automotive sector. They are in search of a skilled professional to fill the role of Strategic Procurement Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee procurement activities encompassing needs assessment, market analysis, tendering, and price evaluations.
- Facilitate national and international negotiations on pricing and finalize framework purchasing agreements.
- Enhance and broaden supplier management practices, including supplier assessments and performance metrics.
- Formulate and execute sustainable category strategies.
- Streamline processes and achieve cost efficiencies through comprehensive global market analysis.
- Collaborate with suppliers and internal departments to pinpoint cost-saving opportunities.
- Maintain supplier relationships to foster advantageous partnerships.
- Independently lead procurement initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Completed commercial training with an additional qualification as a Business Administrator/Technical Business Administrator or equivalent.
- Extensive experience in strategic and operational procurement, coupled with a robust technical understanding.
- Familiarity with production processes, key performance indicators, bills of materials, and cost calculations in manufacturing.
- Knowledge of contract law and supplier management practices.
- Professional demeanor with a proactive approach and hands-on mentality.
- Exceptional negotiation, communication, and assertiveness skills.
- Methodical, precise, efficient, and results-driven work ethic.
- Strong teamwork, motivation, attention to detail, and reliability.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite and SAP.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
