Our client stands at the forefront of innovation in the automotive sector, specializing in the design and execution of lightweight solutions. They are currently in search of a skilled professional to fulfill the role of Strategic Procurement Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee procurement activities, including needs assessment, market analysis, tendering, and price evaluations.
- Facilitate national and international negotiations, culminating in the establishment of framework purchasing agreements.
- Enhance and broaden supplier management practices, including supplier assessments and performance metrics.
- Formulate and execute sustainable category strategies.
- Streamline processes and achieve cost efficiencies through comprehensive global market analysis.
- Collaborate with suppliers and internal departments to pinpoint cost-saving opportunities.
- Maintain supplier relationships to foster advantageous partnerships.
- Independently manage procurement projects from inception to completion.
Qualifications:
- Completed commercial training with an additional qualification as a Business Administrator or Technical Business Administrator, or equivalent.
- Extensive experience in strategic and operational procurement, coupled with a robust technical background.
- Familiarity with production methodologies, key performance indicators, bills of materials, and cost calculations in manufacturing.
- Knowledge of contract law and supplier management principles.
- Exhibit a professional, proactive demeanor with a hands-on approach.
- Possess strong negotiation, communication, and assertiveness capabilities.
- Demonstrate a structured, precise, efficient, and results-driven work ethic.
- High level of collaboration, motivation, thoroughness, and dependability.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite and SAP software.
- Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
