We are seeking a highly skilled System Safety Engineer to join our team at STRATO Personal GmbH. As a System Safety Engineer, you will be responsible for performing System Safety Assessment activities for military aircraft systems, supporting the phases during and after certification.
Key Responsibilities- System Safety Assessment: Perform System Safety Assessment activities for military aircraft systems, supporting the phases during and after certification.
- Assessment Generation: Generate and update assessments (Functional Hazard Assessment/System Safety Assessment) of intended design modifications to influence the system architecture according to the required System Safety/System Integrity.
- Risk Analysis: Perform Risk Analyses, according to the applicable guidance and standards, which are required to support the continuous aircraft development (including Permit to Fly/Type Certificate).
- Common-Cause Analysis: Perform analyses of Common-Cause (Particular Risk Analysis, Zonal Safety Analysis and Common Mode Analysis).
- Safety Requirements: Determine the particular Safety requirements for system developments or modifications with respect to hardware and software.
- Procedure Development: Establish requests for evidence (tests, simulation, analyses), as well as Procedures and Limitations for ground- and aircrew.
- Interface Management: Manage and establish integrity requirements at the interface to interacting systems.
- Technical Domain Management: Manage input from and output to interfacing technical domains and technology (processes, maintenance, human error, aircraft performance and quality, etc.).
- Supplier Data Review: Review, approval and application of supplier data regarding Safety and Reliability.
- System Safety Documentation: Generating the System safety Assessment documentation, based on traceable results and evidence, as mandatory proof to acquire the Type Certificate.
- Airborne Software Safety Analysis: Safety Analysis of the Airborne Software and continuous improvement of analyses tool environment and processes.
- Education: Completed studies in the field of Physics, aerospace or equivalent qualification.
- Experience: More than two years of professional experience in the field of engineering, aviation and System Safety Assessment or at least System Engineering with interface to Safety Assessment/Airworthiness/Certification.
- Skills: Very good knowledge of MS Office.
- Tools: Experience with Safety Tools, eg. Isograph FaultTree+ would be a plus.
- Language: Fluent in English.
- Additional Language: German would be a plus.
