About the Position
We are seeking a highly skilled Molecular Biology Specialist to join our team at Roche Diagnostics. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing diagnostic antibodies using classical hybridoma or B cell PCR technologies.
Your Responsibilities
- Develop diagnostic antibodies using classical hybridoma or B cell PCR technologies
- Isolate B cells and cultivate them
- Perform single cell sorting of B cell specific populations
- Screen for target-specific antibodies
- Isolate RNA from B cell lysates and synthesize cDNA
- Perform RT-PCR of IgG heavy chain and light chain coding sequences and clone them in suitable expression vectors
- Transform E. coli and prepare constructs
- Work on research projects to support antibody development optimization
- Plan and execute experiments independently
- Document and present results
Requirements
- Master's degree in Biology, Immunology, Biotechnology, or a comparable field
- Knowledge and hands-on experience with basic immunology and cell biology techniques (cell culture, FACS, ELISA)
- Experience with molecular biological methods (RT-PCR, cloning) and knowledge of analytical methods
- Interest in laboratory automation
- Curious and open to new ideas
- Excellent English skills, German knowledge is an advantage
- Strong self-reliance, organizational skills, and ability to work in a team
