Background and Summary:
The Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at Hapag-Lloyd is responsible for maintaining the security of the business and ensuring customer trust by proactively managing threats and ensuring rapid recovery from cyber incidents.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Lead the establishment of the target operating model for the Cyber Security Operations team.
  • Oversee project execution (both classic and agile), taking charge of interdisciplinary project management tasks within the Cyber Security Operations team while ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Manage security projects initiated or overseen by Cyber Security Operations, including defining milestones, success criteria, resource allocation, and monitoring progress to ensure timely and budget-compliant delivery.
  • Facilitate cross-project initiatives, set clear objectives and metrics, and analyze data to inform decision-making and drive improvements.
  • Develop and manage deployment plans and communication strategies both within the Cyber Security Operations team and with other CISO teams and external stakeholders.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Master's or bachelor's degree or equivalent technical training in Information Technology, Information Systems Security, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in managing IT projects, with at least 4 years focused on cyber security projects.
  • Familiarity with project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Project, or similar.
  • Professional certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, CISSP, or CISM are highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
  • Experience in automation, metrics analysis, and presentation is a significant advantage.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.
  • Excellent leadership, team management, and problem-solving capabilities.
