Your Responsibilities
As a key member of the Project Management team, you will serve as the technical project lead for our growth initiatives:
- Oversee the technical direction of international growth initiatives in the electricity and energy sector throughout all project phases, focusing on project execution until handover to the client/operation.
- Support the development of international growth initiatives from both technical and commercial perspectives.
- Ensure project tasks are met concerning health, safety, environment (HSE), costs, timelines, and quality.
- Lead diverse multinational project teams across all engineering disciplines during project development and execution phases.
- Manage client engineering contracts during the execution phase of projects.
- Direct contractors/suppliers regarding technical planning and project execution, including EPC contracts as multi-lot agreements.
- Provide strong support in scheduling and permit management for our growth initiatives.
- Assist in and manage documentation processes.
- Implement the Uniper project management system (PMEF).
- Report to the overall project manager and steering committees.
- Ensure the acquisition, documentation, and transfer of lessons learned between projects.
- Act as an effective communicator, coordinating all relevant interfaces, stakeholders, sponsors, and support functions within Uniper, as well as with authorities and joint ventures.
Your Profile
- Degree in engineering or equivalent.
- Several years of experience in project management, preferably with certified qualifications (e.g., PMI).
- Extensive experience in executing projects in the energy or oil and gas sectors as a technical project lead.
- Proven experience in claims and contract management.
- Strong focus on safety, health, and environmental standards, preferably with a certified safety qualification.
- Knowledge of regulations (e.g., pressure regulations), DIN EN CE conformity, and processes for the 'marketing of plants.'
- High flexibility and international mobility.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Entrepreneurial mindset, decisiveness with cost-benefit optimization, and the ability to motivate teams.
- Outstanding project management skills with a structured approach to achieving project milestones.
- Fluency in English and German.
