As a Lead Research Specialist in our Ultrasound division at ImFusion, you will engage in client projects, advance our sophisticated visual computing software framework, and impart your expertise and insights to both the team and clients. You will have the chance to explore the forefront of various medical applications and make significant contributions to our framework utilizing Python and C++.

Your responsibilities will encompass:

  • Designing medical imaging algorithms with an emphasis on real-time interventional imaging as part of the Ultrasound division
  • Executing multi-modal image segmentation, registration, and reconstruction using both traditional and AI-driven methodologies that you create
  • Assisting in the commercialization of our interventional imaging framework
  • Overseeing projects in close partnership with our industry clients
  • Publishing findings and representing our organization at industry conferences
This full-time role is advertised for our Munich location but is also suitable for hybrid or fully remote arrangements.Your Qualifications
  • Doctorate in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a related discipline
  • Proficient programming abilities in C++ and Python
  • Previous industry experience is advantageous
  • Familiarity with medical imaging technologies (CT, MRI, Ultrasound, etc.)
  • Applied understanding of Deep Learning frameworks such as PyTorch
  • Eager and capable of rapid learning
