We are currently seeking a dedicated Sales and Bid Management Specialist (m/w/d) for our rapidly expanding Business Unit Grid Software (GridSW). In this role, you will oversee all commercial and financial aspects throughout the sales lifecycle, from opportunity identification to contract finalization, facilitating the energy transition through our software solutions and assisting our clients in navigating their digital transformation journeys. You will collaborate with a globally positioned team within Grid Control (GC) Sales and Bid Management, as well as cross-functional units within GridSW and the broader Siemens community.
Your Role:
- Collaborate with Sales Managers to establish and refine the sales strategy for designated international markets. You will be involved in identifying opportunities within the CRM tool, Salesforce, ensuring data integrity throughout the opportunity's lifecycle, and monitoring actual bookings.
- Manage Grid Control opportunities, including intricate software agreements with diverse business models and clients worldwide, from initial project management stages to finalization.
- Work alongside Sales and Bid Managers to develop the business model and bidding strategy. Lead the identification, evaluation, and assessment of risks and opportunities, formulating strategies and response actions while assuming full responsibility for all commercial risks and opportunities.
- Oversee all financial and commercial activities during project acquisition, including contract analysis, cost estimation, cash flow forecasting, business modeling, taxation, risk management, and guarantees.
- Prepare and present bids (Letters of Authorization) to the relevant management levels at our headquarters.
- Negotiate terms and conditions with prospective clients and, if necessary, consortium agreements with internal and/or external partners in collaboration with your bid team and other stakeholders, including legal advisors.
- Support assigned regions during bid preparation by addressing inquiries and providing guidance on commercial matters.
- A master's degree in business administration or a related field, coupled with several years of professional experience.
- Relevant commercial experience in a project- or software-driven environment, ideally in sales.
- Certification as a Commercial Sales/Project Manager is preferred or in progress.
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative and independently address topics, learning from experiences and proposing innovative solutions. You thrive on new challenges and maintain a focused, results-oriented approach.
- Enjoy working in a multicultural team and environment, with fluency in English and ideally a basic understanding of German.
