Lead Game Design Strategist

As a Lead Game Designer, you will be instrumental in this thrilling phase of growth and creativity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as a hands-on game design authority, making informed decisions based on extensive knowledge of free-to-play (F2P) game design, economic balancing, and monetization strategies.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the Game Design and temporarily the UI/UX teams, ensuring alignment with each game's vision and the broader objectives of the company.
  • Oversee the game design workflow from concept to live execution, providing support to existing Game Designers in effectively crafting and documenting game concepts and features.
  • Create and maintain templates to ensure a consistent documentation framework.
  • Comprehend the entire game development lifecycle and refine cross-departmental workflows to improve our processes.
  • Encourage a culture of continuous enhancement in game design practices through strong collaboration with Product Management.
  • Collaborate with the Product team to draft or update long-term vision documents for individual games.
  • Utilize data-driven insights to innovate and enhance features across our game portfolio, aiming to maximize player engagement and monetization.
  • Establish and implement a clear, cohesive design pipeline for live games.
  • Analyze performance metrics to continuously optimize game balancing, pacing, and overall gameplay experience.
  • Stay informed about market trends to keep our games competitive and innovative.
  • Recruit and assess new game design talent, fostering a skilled and cohesive team environment.
  • Engage actively in the creation and development of new game prototypes, providing strategic design direction to align with our future game development and innovation objectives.
Candidate Profile:
  • Demonstrated leadership and mentorship capabilities with a minimum of 5 years of experience in game design, including over 2 years in a management role.
  • Strong expertise in game mechanics, live operations, F2P strategies, and monetization.
  • Proficient in prototyping with a solid understanding of creating modular and reusable features.
  • Robust analytical skills with a comprehensive understanding of mobile game KPIs.
  • Extensive experience in balancing and economic design within F2P mobile games.
  • Skilled in Unity and familiar with collaborative design tools like Figma or similar.
  • Ability to articulate and deconstruct large features into manageable components.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills, fluent in English.
  • Adaptable to rapidly changing technologies and player trends to keep our games at the forefront of the industry.
