Building Project Manager

Position Overview: Construction Project Engineer

  • Facilitate and advocate for the interests of property owners, investors, and construction firms.
  • Formulate preliminary planning strategies while adhering to budgetary and timeline constraints.
  • Oversee external service providers, including specialized engineers, consultants, and construction firms.
  • Engage in and coordinate project meetings, working groups, and internal strategy sessions.
  • Lead the project team (external contractors) with a focus on achieving project-specific goals.
  • Ensure project oversight complies with all applicable legal standards in collaboration with various departments (Building Code, State Building Regulations, Federal Emission Control Act, Procurement Regulations, Safety, Accident Prevention, and Environmental Regulations).
  • Prepare for and participate in regulatory inspections.
  • Address inquiries from property owners and investors, manage public inquiries, defect reports, complaints, and grievances in conjunction with other departments.
  • Engage in training sessions and specialized conferences.

Candidate Profile

  • Completion of higher education (Diploma Engineer or Bachelor/Master), preferably in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Professional experience in project management for construction projects is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with VOB and HOAI is essential.
  • Proven reliability along with strong negotiation and assertiveness skills.
  • Willingness to assume responsibility, coupled with analytical thinking, teamwork, conflict resolution skills, and a customer-focused approach.
  • Possession of a Class B driver's license is required for this role.
