Project Manager Envelope Systems Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to join our team at Knauf. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of building envelope systems, ensuring they meet the highest standards for performance, durability, and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities- Design and Implementation: Create detailed designs, specifications, and drawings for architects, planners, and contractors to ensure building envelope systems meet performance, durability, and sustainability standards.
- System Reliability and Efficiency: Leverage extensive knowledge of gypsum and cement-based sheathing boards to improve system reliability and efficiency, while maintaining close communication with the marketing department to uphold a strong brand presence in the target market.
- Competitive Landscape: Develop a competitive landscape for exterior boards and identify exact methodologies for customer-specific and profit-margin-based product selection, offering regional design solutions akin to a one-stop-shop.
- Technical Support and Training: Provide technical support and training to the sales team as needed, including internal training to adapt team structure, ensuring they effectively support customers and projects.
- Project Management: Identify and engage potential customers involved in specific construction projects to secure specifications and contracts, while leading projects to ensure timely completion within budget, collaborating with cross-functional teams including architects, engineers, and contractors for seamless execution.
- Education: Successful degree in engineering with an affinity for business administration or a degree in business administration with technical understanding.
- Experience: Several years of consulting experience in business unit strategy, growth strategy, and program management; experience in due diligence and the building materials/construction industry is an advantage but not mandatory.
- Skills: Proven track record of working in specification selling, ideally with extensive experience in Gypsum Products & Systems; solid understanding of the construction industry.
- Personal Qualities: Strong analytical, conceptual, and strategic abilities, coupled with a hands-on, entrepreneurial mindset and excellent communication skills, particularly at the executive level.
- Travel: A candidate with a history of successfully completed projects, enjoys people-oriented roles, has excellent PC skills, and is willing to travel globally (up to 30%).
