Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Translator to join our team in Cologne, Germany. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in translation, editing, and proofreading, with expertise in German language and culture.

Key Responsibilities
  • Translate, edit, and proofread a variety of text types, including marketing materials, sales documents, and technical guides.
  • Subtitle videos and perform transcription and translation tasks.
  • Localize content to ensure it is suitable for the German market.
  • Maintain glossaries and style guides to ensure consistency in language and tone.
  • Conduct terminology research and stay up-to-date with industry developments.
  • Manage end-to-end localization projects across multiple languages, including contract generation and invoicing.
  • Recruit freelance translators and collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless project execution.
Requirements
  • Native-level proficiency in German language.
  • Fluency in English (C1 level or higher). Additional language skills, such as Japanese, Chinese, or French, are a plus.
  • Degree in translation or a related field.
  • Experience working with texts from the fields of pedagogy, marketing, sales, or IT.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office package.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail.
