Business Development Manager

Siegwerk, a leading supplier of Printing Inks and sustainable packaging solutions, seeks a highly skilled Business Development Manager - Waterbased Coatings to drive growth and innovation in the fiberbased packaging market.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for generating new leads through targeted marketing activities, maintaining a network of industry contacts, and supporting the introduction of new WB coatings products into the market.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Communication & Marketing: Develop and execute marketing strategies to generate new leads and maintain a strong industry network.
  • Product Introduction & Customer Support: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to introduce new WB coatings products and provide direct support to customers in new market segments.
  • Market Analysis & Strategy: Conduct market research and contribute to business development strategies for WB coatings, including target market penetration, sales revenue, and margins.
  • Investment & Business Case: Calculate the business case for new opportunities and monitor market development activities.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with teams from multiple functions to enhance their understanding and help set clear priorities.
  • Business Development: Monitor and measure activities to ensure alignment with business aims and propose remedial action where necessary.
  • Internal Ambassador: Act as an ambassador within Siegwerk to create awareness and excitement amongst stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Related university degree or broad industrial experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of sales/commercial experience in the paper, packaging, or coatings industry.
  • Strong influencer and networker with excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to think conceptually and strategically about end-to-end solutions.
  • Self-motivated, result-oriented, and persistent.
  • Willingness to travel.
