Position: Radar Systems Engineer (m/f/d)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Leverage your expertise in Radar technology to support the ADAS/AD team, focusing on the strengths and weaknesses of Radar/RSP approaches compared to other sensor technologies.
  • Write and manage requirements for Radar subsystems.
  • Assist in the development of Radar requests for quotation.
  • Collaborate with various partners to ensure optimal integration of Radar components, enhancing overall system performance.
  • Define and monitor Radar Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) throughout the development and integration phases.
  • Identify necessary compensation for noise factors.
  • Contribute to the definition of sensor tests, end-of-line calibration, and diagnostic strategies.
  • Support the implementation of sensor simulations and conduct tests on hardware and prototype vehicles, including regular test drives to gain insights into customer experiences.

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Degree in electrical engineering, HF engineering, physics, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in the Radar domain.
  • Strong understanding of Radar physics and technology.
  • Knowledge of noise factors affecting automotive Radars.
  • Experience in writing technical requirements.
  • Familiarity with RFQ development.
  • Experience with SCRUM/Agile methodologies.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • A proactive and enthusiastic approach to new ideas and inputs.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of conveying complex concepts clearly.
  • A collaborative team player who supports colleagues.
  • Creative thinking and lateral problem-solving abilities.
  • Desirable: Experience in developing perception algorithms for ADAS/autonomous driving using Radar and fused data.
  • Desirable: Proficiency in software development using C/C++, Python, or Matlab.
