As a Software Architect for Autonomous Driving, you will play a crucial role in shaping the software architecture of our next-generation integration platform. This platform will enable both driver control and autonomous driving for future BMW Group vehicles.

About the Role

  • Design and develop the software architecture for our high-performance POSIX software platform.
  • Ensure that the platform's behavior meets customer requirements from a functional and integration perspective, including resource management, lifecycle management, and degradation.
  • Collaborate with international and interdisciplinary teams to develop sophisticated functions and present advanced autonomous driving functionalities to BMW vehicle drivers.
  • Work in an environment that values creative freedom, lateral thinking, and flexible working models.

Requirements

  • University degree in engineering, computer sciences, or related fields.
  • Expert knowledge in embedded software development.
  • Extensive expertise in latest C++ standards.
  • Extensive expertise in Adaptive Autosar.
  • Extensive expertise in POSIX-based operating systems, especially Linux and QNX.
  • Initial expertise in POSIX scheduling schemes.
  • Initial expertise in utilizing agile development methodologies like Kanban.
  • Business-fluent English and German language skills.
