Environmental Sustainability Consultant

We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic professional in environmental sustainability to become a part of our Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) division. This role primarily involves overseeing and executing projects that tackle various complex assignments associated with environmental Life Cycle Assessment modeling and reporting, with a specific emphasis on diverse sectors.
Key Responsibilities
You will assist clients in developing more sustainable products and practices. Your work will focus on aiding clients with sustainability measurement and reporting for both products and corporations. This may include creating Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) utilizing our GaBi software, preparing Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) based findings, and contributing to other sustainability-focused initiatives. Your daily tasks may encompass:
Overseeing multiple simultaneous consulting projects related to Life Cycle Assessment, feasibility studies, Total Cost of Ownership analyses, as well as product and corporate sustainability strategies. Developing LCA models for products or services using our GaBi software. Composing reports that comply with ISO 14040/44 standards to document your project activities. Utilizing Excel (or other data formats) to analyze and manipulate data and data structures. Conducting assessments on energy, water, waste, air emissions, and associated costs. Preparing and delivering project outcomes in PowerPoint or other formats. Ensuring adherence to project scope, timelines, budgets, and quality standards. Collaborating with Sphera team members across various specialties and regions, focusing on topics such as energy transitions, alternative fuels, powertrains including hydrogen, and green chemistry. Building and maintaining strong, enduring relationships with existing clients. Occasional travel may be necessary based on project requirements (up to 20% of time).Candidate Profile
A proactive and positive attitude. A Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering, science, or a related discipline. A strong interest and knowledge in sustainability, environmental systems, life cycle thinking, product sustainability, and climate change. Experience in managing small to medium-sized team projects. A solid quantitative or technical background with a keen analytical mindset. A natural curiosity to explore issues, conduct research, design solutions, and translate findings into business practices. Ability to learn new software—preferably with some basic programming experience. Excellent oral and written communication skills; capable of articulating issues, delivering presentations, and preparing formal written reports. Self-driven and organized; capable of managing multiple assignments and working both independently and collaboratively. Proficiency in MS Office, especially Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word. A desire to support companies in achieving their environmental sustainability goals.What We Offer
