Job Title: Senior Director/VP, Software Engineering

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Director/VP, Software Engineering to lead our Vendor Growth team. As a key member of our engineering leadership team, you will be responsible for driving the technical vision and strategy for our software engineering teams.

The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of leading high-performing engineering teams, with a focus on delivering business-critical services. You will be responsible for mentoring and developing Senior Engineering Managers and Directors, as well as partnering closely with product leadership to define the roadmap for our core Delivery Hero teams.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and supporting Senior Engineering Managers & Directors to be more effective leaders
  • Deeply understanding business processes and participating in defining the roadmap for core Delivery Hero teams
  • Planning and ensuring scalability, fault tolerance, and reliability of systems
  • Ensuring the highest bar of quality and fairness in team performance management
  • Driving quarterly and long-term objectives and key results
  • Championing best engineering practices and driving pragmatic solutions

Requirements include:

  • Experience working with complex distributed systems
  • Experience managing Senior Engineering Managers and multiple teams
  • Responsibility for high-complexity and high-traffic projects or applications
  • Adaptability to different engineering cultures to drive pragmatic solutions
  • Interest in promoting continuous deployment, agile planning, cloud-based systems, experimentation, and testing
  • Passion for shaping the engineering culture of a growing team
