Electrical Project Manager

M.C. Dean is seeking a highly skilled Electrical Project Manager to lead our team in delivering exceptional electrical and technology projects.
Key Responsibilities- Manage multiple task orders with budgets ranging from $500K to $10M, overseeing a team of 20-30 personnel, specialty trade partners, and ensuring design efficiency and contractual compliance.
- Lead design-build task orders, including electrical, normal and emergency power, electronic security systems, CCTV, access control, A/V, telecommunications, ISP/OSP, wireless, and other technology applications.
- Develop and implement project schedules, ensuring timely completion and budget adherence.
- Collaborate with construction superintendents to develop installation execution plans, determining labor requirements and dispatching tradesmen to construction sites.
- Plan, organize, and direct activities related to the upgrade and renovation of existing facilities, responsible for design, installation, testing, and start-up activities.
- Interpret and explain plans and contract terms to administrative staff, workers, and clients.
- Negotiate revisions, changes, and additions to contractual agreements with customers, consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Work directly with supervisors to direct engineering, construction, testing, and commissioning activities, coordinating with field personnel and/or engineering teams to discuss potential installation issues.
- Monitor project budgets to ensure positive cash flow and maintain profitability.
- Inspect and review projects to monitor compliance with building and safety codes, and other regulations.
- Interface with internal and external customers, ensuring excellent communication and customer satisfaction.
- 10 years of experience in project management, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in leading a Federal program (or equivalent) with a focus on technology applications, including electrical, electronic security systems, telecommunications infrastructure, audio visual systems, and Information Assurance.
- ABET-accredited, Construction Management, or Business Management degree, and relevant field experience.
- Excellent communication skills and tact to work directly with customers and internal senior management, supervisory personnel, trade partners, and design professionals.
- Ability to proactively identify and resolve business, technical, and construction issues, including technical and design issues, operational challenges, work procedures, and potential customer concerns and complaints.
- Experience working with management systems, including estimating, scheduling, and job cost reporting.
- Experience in operational risk management and knowledge of safety and quality control requirements.
- Experience overseeing and approving monthly job cost updates, productivity reports, and cash flow projections.
- Proficient in reading drawings, schematics, and interpreting and understanding statements of work (SOW) to develop cost proposals and execution plans.
- Proficiency in the Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling method and General Contractor Schedules.
- Must have a history of completing projects under budget and on-time.
- Ability and willingness to relocate to customer sites for the duration of the project.
- US Citizen with the ability to obtain a Top Secret Clearance.
