Position Overview:
M.C. Dean is seeking a Project Communications Manager with a strong background in electrical and technology sectors. The ideal candidate will have substantial expertise in various disciplines, including:
- Electrical systems encompassing power distribution and lighting solutions
- Electronic security frameworks, such as access control, CCTV, and perimeter security
- Telecommunications infrastructure, including both ISP and OSP, as well as wireless systems
- Audio-Visual technology
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee multiple Task Orders valued between $500K and $10M, managing a diverse team of 20-30 professionals and specialty trade partners.
- Lead design-build Task Orders that integrate electrical systems, security solutions, and telecommunications, ensuring compliance with design specifications and contractual obligations.
- Facilitate design reviews and quality assurance checks within project teams.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely completion of milestones.
- Collaborate with construction superintendents to formulate installation execution plans, determining labor needs for effective project delivery.
- Direct activities related to upgrades and renovations in operational facilities, overseeing design, installation, testing, and startup processes.
- Negotiate contract modifications with clients, consultants, and subcontractors to align project goals.
- Monitor project budgets to ensure financial health and profitability.
- Conduct inspections to ensure compliance with safety codes and regulations.
- Interface with both internal and external stakeholders to maintain project alignment and address concerns.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be eligible for security clearance; a Secret clearance or higher is advantageous.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience, with at least 5 years in project management, particularly in technology applications related to electrical and security systems.
- Relevant degree in Construction Management, Business Management, or a related field.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients and senior management.
- Proven track record in managing multiple projects, including cost estimation, engineering, and contract administration.
Desired Skills:
- Familiarity with management systems for estimating, scheduling, and job cost reporting.
- Experience in operational risk management and adherence to safety and quality standards.
- Proficiency in reading technical drawings and schematics.
- Ability to complete projects within budget and on schedule.
- Willingness to relocate as required for project demands.
