Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the management of software license renewals and contracts throughout the organization.
  • Ensure compliance, conduct audits, and optimize costs related to software assets by adhering to established best practices and standards.
  • Define and implement processes and tools for Software Asset Management (SAM) to facilitate effective software lifecycle management.
  • Generate and disseminate SAM reports and insights to enhance visibility and provide recommendations for software usage and optimization.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, product owners, and software original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) to assess and fulfill software requirements.
  • Review contracts and licensing agreements of various software products and vendors to ensure compliance and alignment.
  • Participate in the software procurement and budgeting processes to support acquisition and renewal efforts.
  • Conduct SAM training sessions and address inquiries or escalations from both internal and external clients.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical or business discipline or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 12 years of industry experience, including at least 5 years in Software Asset Management oversight.
  • In-depth knowledge of software licensing models, compliance practices, and asset management tools.
  • Strong skills in process and asset management, with experience managing the complete asset lifecycle.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and presentation abilities, capable of collaborating with diverse, multicultural teams.
  • High resilience and resourcefulness in addressing complex challenges, coupled with excellent reporting and data analysis skills.
  • Strong financial insight and risk management capabilities, with the ability to plan budgets and advocate for proposals.
  • Analytical and strategic mindset, capable of working independently and effectively, with a focus on solutions.
