POSITION OVERVIEW

This role is open to all SAP locations in Germany.

TEAM INSIGHT

Become a part of our innovative SAP Enterprise Architects team within the SAP Customer Services & Delivery division. Collaborating with architects across the Middle and Eastern Europe region, we spearhead digital transformation initiatives utilizing advanced SAP technologies. Our goal is to advance the RISE with SAP initiative, advocate for Clean Core principles, and enhance the adoption of the SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP). We aim to streamline and modernize IT infrastructures, minimizing complexity and operational expenses while promoting innovation and efficiency to meet evolving business demands.

YOUR ROLE

As a Principal Enterprise Architect (f/m/d), you will create a detailed enterprise architecture framework for our clients that aligns with their strategic objectives. You will work closely with virtual account teams (VAT) as a transformation partner and engage in activities such as:

  • Guiding clients through their cloud transition, focusing on adoption and scaling digitally.
  • Providing enterprise architecture insights utilizing RISE with SAP methodologies and Clean Core principles to maximize the benefits of SAP's cloud capabilities.
  • Acting as a transformation partner for CIOs and other C-level executives, enhancing architectural effectiveness.
  • Facilitating adoption by identifying and addressing technical risks.
  • Aligning clients and partners with SAP's Clean Core strategy, expediting BTP adoption, and advocating for SAP best practices.
  • Enhancing customer engagement by providing relevant context to all teams.
  • Communicating the value of the proposed target architecture and outlining potential transitional steps while offering guidance on realizing identified benefits.
  • Serving as a trusted advisor to ensure secure, reliable, and adaptable cloud environments for critical business processes.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

Transformation, Architectural & Solution Expertise:

  • Proven experience in delivering enterprise business transformation initiatives and aligning client priorities with target architecture and strategic roadmaps.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the SAP Solution Portfolio and the Enterprise Architecture Framework (North Star).
  • Hands-on experience with Business Technology Platform components, including application development, automation, data analytics, integration, and AI, along with practical knowledge of S/4HANA applications.
  • Strong grasp of Cloud & Clean Core strategies, with familiarity in SAP LeanIX, Signavio, and Cloud ALM.
  • Understanding of SAP's Business AI roadmap, including identifying use cases and piloting AI-driven solutions to enhance operational processes.
  • Expertise in SAP Integration and Extensibility Advisory methodologies.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Over 10 years of experience in customer-facing roles (e.g., Program Manager, Architect), with a background in comprehensive architectural design for hybrid solution landscapes.
  • Extensive knowledge of the SAP Enterprise Architecture Framework and Toolset, along with experience in BTP components and services.
  • Proficiency in SAP Integration and Extensibility Advisory methodologies and Clean Core principles.
  • Technical knowledge or experience with S/4HANA applications.
  • Exceptional communication, persuasion, and negotiation skills in English and German, particularly at senior management and C-level interactions.
  • A mindset geared towards strategic thinking, continuous learning, and business acumen.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Familiarity with on-premise and corresponding SAP cloud solutions.
  • Professional certifications (e.g., SAP Enterprise Architecture Framework by LeanIX EAM, SAP Certified Professional-Enterprise Architect, TOGAF) are advantageous.
