Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the program management of microphone product development tailored for German OEM automotive applications, including the formulation and upkeep of project plans, partner collaboration, schedule coordination, problem-solving, and status reporting.
  • Manage multiple microphone programs and lead cross-functional teams to support sales initiatives and projects within the automotive microphone sector.
  • Act as the primary program liaison with clients, overseeing 2 to 4 German OEMs or other EU OEM accounts.
  • Acquire a comprehensive understanding of the technical specifications of products utilized in all systems, encompassing both electrical and mechanical aspects.
  • Grasp requirements and technical solutions necessary to fulfill customer expectations for all development products.
  • Establish and oversee the program budget effectively.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Supplier Engineering, and Design Engineering to define system cost targets and ensure they are met.
  • Set team objectives regarding timeliness, customer concerns, and quality standards.
  • Engage with various internal departments such as manufacturing, quality assurance, procurement, and marketing.
  • Negotiate resource allocations with functional managers.
  • Evaluate selected suppliers and quotes, participating in supplier reviews and selection processes as needed.
  • Coordinate and supervise the ordering of prototype and production tooling.
  • Audit task completion and report significant deviations from the plan to relevant management.
  • Recommend continuous enhancements to the development process.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering, ideally in Mechanical or Electrical fields.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in program management, sales, quality assurance, design, engineering management, or process engineering.
  • Proficient in project planning, problem-solving, multitasking, and project management.
  • Technical expertise in audio systems and automotive electronics is preferred.
  • Familiarity with embedded audio electronics is advantageous.
  • Experience with project management tools such as Jira, ALM, and Confluence.
  • PMP certification is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills (both customer-facing and internal).
  • Proficiency in German and English, with basic communication skills in a third language (Italian or French) being appreciated.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time.
