Regional EMC Validation Manager

In this leadership position, you will oversee a regional EMC validation team and operations of an EMC laboratory. Your team will be responsible for executing regional and global projects, ensuring timely, high-quality, and cost-effective EMC validation.
Your Responsibilities- Lead a regional EMC validation team and supervise EMC lab operations to ensure assigned regional projects and tasks are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Manage and escalate critical customer issues by immediately involving the correct team members and removing roadblocks.
- Manage and control EMC validation-related spending and resource allocation.
- Ensure global EMC validation processes and work procedures are followed locally.
- Improve EMC lab execution and efficiency through metrics and KPIs.
- Identify workforce resources, capital equipment, facilities, and other expense needs for annual budget planning.
- Develop performance objectives, monitor performance, and conduct performance evaluations for all FTEs and contractors.
- Plan, monitor, and adjust workload and assignments of staff to ensure HARMAN and customer requirements are met in time, quality, and budget.
- Support initiatives and activities driving the global EMC and Product Reliability strategy.
- Maintain and obtain required OEM approvals, accreditation, and ISO 17025 certification.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- 8+ years of EMC qualification experience.
- 5+ years of managerial experience within EMC qualification.
- Experience in setting up EMC validation labs and customer accreditations.
- Strong EMC knowledge in the automotive industry, with a well-understood grasp of electronics and telecommunications.
- Advanced management and test solutions knowledge for automotive industries.
- Experience with setting up metrics and KPIs for driving continuous improvement.
- Excellent English capabilities, both verbally and in writing.
- Familiarity with ISO 17025 or IATF 16949.
- Familiarity with automotive international EMC standards and knowledge of automotive OEM specs.
- Well-trained in problem-solving methodologies, such as DMAIC, PDCA, CAPA, and others.
- Experience with project management.
