Key Responsibilities
Oversee the hardware development for a sophisticated Automotive Cockpit initiative. As the Hardware Project Lead, you will coordinate the project and guide a multidisciplinary team that includes electrical and mechanical engineers, validation specialists, procurement experts, and quality assurance personnel. You will ensure the achievement of project goals, which encompass hardware development planning, strategy implementation, project execution, and delivery of hardware outputs. In this cross-functional role, you will serve as the main point of contact for hardware and mechanical project outputs, consistently updating key stakeholders on progress. Lead the Hardware Team, manage team-related topics, and keep the lead Project Manager and Program Steering Team informed about challenges, successes, and other relevant matters. Report on hardware status to OEM customers and internally to sales and engineering leadership, including senior vice president levels. Utilize your extensive experience to devise and recommend effective measures for mitigating project risks. Manage the Bill of Materials (BOM) costs in alignment with the business case. Identify and assess opportunities for cost optimization during the development phase, providing planning insights and presenting to the Program Steering Team, sales, and engineering leadership. Align technical and commercial program objectives with various functional departments. Effectively manage cross-functional dependencies, risks, and changes by optimizing project scope, timelines, and resources. Support the RFI/RFQ phase to develop the most cost-effective solutions that meet customer specifications. Collaborate with the sales organization to establish a communication strategy that highlights customer value propositions and HARMAN's unique selling points. Execute projects in accordance with HARMAN's Project Life Cycle Management Processes.Qualifications
Proven track record as a successful team leader in Hardware, Mechanics, or a related field for a minimum of 8 years. Alternatively, experience as a lead program manager for complex systems for at least 8 years. Technical and methodological expertise in various aspects of hardware design and project leadership, or in Program and Product Life Cycle Management. A university degree in engineering (electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field). Extensive intercultural experience. Strong communication skills. A focus on cost efficiency and technology, always considering customer expectations. Proficient in technical and commercial English. Willingness to travel as required.Benefits
