Internship in Body Shell Finish Division

Role Overview:
As part of the Body Shell Finish division, you will engage in crucial processes that bridge the gap between the body shell and its final assembly. This department is pivotal in ensuring the automated assembly of all components, including doors, boot lids, hoods, and fenders, while maintaining the highest quality standards for fit and finish.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guaranteeing the assembly line's delivery quality through advanced fit technology and gap measurement systems.
- Assessing process influences to ensure optimal fit of all components.
- Meeting requirements for component tightness and minimizing wind noise.
- Consistently applying the 'damage-free assembly' quality standard.
Challenges You Will Encounter:
- Collaborating on projects to gain hands-on experience in a production environment, including monitoring and controlling key quality metrics.
- Participating in the planning, management, and execution of operational tests on production equipment, tracking progress through to final assembly.
- Analyzing and interpreting quality measurement reports and systems.
- Contributing to the optimization of production facilities and workflows, particularly during the commissioning of new production lines.
- Assisting in the planning and standardization of production processes, workplace design, and assembly line equipment.
- Gaining familiarity with robotic technology in various production settings, utilizing modern analysis and evaluation tools.
Qualifications:
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, or a related field.
- Proficient in both written and spoken German and English.
- Strong commitment to teamwork and collaboration.
- Analytical mindset with a strategic approach to problem-solving.
- Excellent communication skills and a creative outlook.
