Internship in Body Shell Finish Division

Position Overview:
The Body Shell Finish team plays a crucial role in the automotive production process, serving as the connection between the body shell and the subsequent assembly and surface treatment. Our responsibilities encompass the automated assembly of all components such as doors, boot lids, hoods, and fenders on the production line, ensuring the quality of fit and finish from the body shell to the completed vehicle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guaranteeing the quality of deliveries on the assembly line through advanced fitting technology and gap measurement systems.
- Considering process influences to ensure the proper alignment of all components.
- Meeting requirements for sealing and noise reduction of installed components.
- Consistently applying the 'damage-free assembly' quality standard.
Challenges You Will Encounter:
- Collaborating on projects to gain insights into professional operations on the production floor, including daily monitoring and management of quality metrics.
- Participating in the preparation, oversight, and execution of operational tests on production equipment, tracking results through to the final assembly.
- Analyzing and interpreting quality measurement reports and systems.
- Contributing to the optimization of production equipment and workflows, particularly in the commissioning of facilities for future series.
- Assisting in the planning and standardization of production processes, workstation design, assembly line setup, and maintenance.
- Gaining familiarity with robotic technology in various production settings, utilizing modern analysis and evaluation tools.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, or a related field.
- Proficient in both written and spoken German and English.
- Demonstrated commitment and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Possess an analytical mindset and a strategic approach to problem-solving.
- Strong communication skills and a creative approach to challenges.
