Key Responsibilities:

The Manager of Access & Value Strategy plays a vital role within the Disease Area Access Team, focusing on all aspects related to Health Technology Assessment (HTA) throughout the product lifecycle.

In collaboration with the Associate Director of Market Access and the Senior Manager of Access & Value Strategy, the Manager will contribute to the early benefit assessment (AMNOG) of our products:

  • Engage with global teams to provide insights into the local healthcare system, assisting in the preparation of submissions to the Federal Joint Committee (G-BA) regarding benefit assessment frameworks, including appropriate comparators and clinical endpoints.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely submission of comprehensive value dossiers to the G-BA, leveraging support from German Biostatistics, Medical, Regulatory, and Business Units.
  • Facilitate all phases of value assessments, including analysis, written statements, and oral hearings, while collecting and evaluating evidence and coordinating with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and experts.
  • Continuously review scientific literature and monitor competitors' AMNOG processes, providing reports on key outcomes and insights.

The Manager of Access & Value Strategy:

  • Is an integral member of the cross-functional, indication-specific launch team led by the Business Unit.
  • Supports the pricing team during AMNOG price negotiations and potential arbitration by providing expertise in HTA, epidemiology, and indication-specific knowledge.
  • Works closely with the Manager of Access & Payer Strategy to ensure effective communication with key stakeholders regarding HTA-related inquiries.
  • Collaborates with the Real-World Evidence (RWE) Manager to generate evidence in alignment with AMNOG requirements.

Qualifications:

  • A strong willingness to work within interdisciplinary matrix teams under tight deadlines.
  • A university degree in life sciences and/or economics, with training in health economics or experience in the pharmaceutical industry across various roles (market access, HEOR, pricing).
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the German Market Access process (AMNOG), as well as German healthcare and drug legislation.
  • Familiarity with study design, data interpretation, evidence-based medicine methodologies, and HEOR methods is advantageous.
  • A collaborative team player who enjoys cross-functional work.
  • Strong analytical and strategic problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills are essential.
  • Proficiency in MS Office is required, with additional knowledge of bibliographic management software and statistical applications being a plus.
  • Fluency in English, both oral and written, is mandatory.
