Key Responsibilities:
The Access & Value Strategy Manager plays a crucial role within the Disease Area Access Team, focusing on all aspects related to Health Technology Assessment (HTA) throughout the product lifecycle.
In collaboration with the Associate Director of Market Access and the Senior Manager of Access & Value Strategy, the Manager will contribute to the early benefit evaluation (AMNOG) of our products:
- Engage with global teams to provide insights into the local healthcare landscape. Collaborate with the Associate Director and Senior Manager to prepare submissions to the Federal Joint Committee (G-BA) regarding the framework for benefit assessment, including appropriate comparators and clinical endpoints.
- Assist in the timely preparation of comprehensive value dossiers for submission to the G-BA, coordinating with cross-functional teams including German Biostatistics, Medical Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, and the Business Unit.
- Support all phases of value assessments, including analysis, written submissions, and oral presentations, while gathering and evaluating evidence and expert opinions.
- Continuously review scientific literature and monitor competitor AMNOG processes, providing insights on key outcomes and lessons learned to the Associate Director and Senior Manager.
The Access & Value Strategy Manager:
- Is an integral member of the cross-functional, indication-specific launch team led by the Business Unit.
- Collaborates with the pricing team on AMNOG price negotiations and potential arbitration, leveraging expertise in HTA and epidemiology.
- Works closely with the Manager of Access & Payer Strategy to ensure effective communication with key stakeholders regarding HTA-related inquiries.
- Partners with the Real-World Evidence Manager to ensure evidence generation aligns with AMNOG requirements.
Qualifications:
- A strong willingness to work within interdisciplinary teams under tight deadlines.
- A university degree in life sciences and/or economics, with training in health economics or relevant experience in the pharmaceutical sector (market access, HEOR, pricing).
- Comprehensive knowledge of the German Market Access process (AMNOG), healthcare regulations, and pharmaceutical industry requirements.
- Familiarity with study design, data interpretation, evidence-based medicine methodologies, and HEOR methods is advantageous.
- A collaborative team player who enjoys cross-functional engagement.
- Strong analytical and strategic problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent writing and communication skills are essential.
- Proficiency in MS Office is required; familiarity with bibliographic management software and statistical applications is a plus.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is mandatory.
