Galileo Network Engineer

At OSB AG, we are seeking a highly skilled Galileo Network Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Ground Segment Operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our Galileo networks.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and troubleshoot Galileo networks, including end-to-end engineering management and service troubleshooting.
- Support the Network Coordinator in overseeing GDDN/MDDN and SDDN engineering processes and coordinating harmonized Networks operations preparation and validation activities.
- Concur, identify, and analyze any issue impacting the Galileo Service in a framework of teamworking, working in strict contact with resources of any other involved areas.
- Liaise with GSOp Core Team Member teams, GDDN Service Provider teams, and GMS/GCS Segment Provider teams from Industry and Customer representatives.
- Interface EUSPA, ESA, and Network providers on any Galileo LAN/WAN related technical issue and to coordinate and harmonize inputs/contributions from all GSOP teams on NW related topics.
- Follow-up the deployment planning and scheduling of all GDDN and Segment NW assets analyzing impacts to operations activities.
- Chair the Net CCB following all CCRs lifecycle completion.
- Manage all GDDN engineering and deployment activities and related reporting, and coordinate GDDN Site Acceptance and Network Acceptance Reviews.
- Support Segment LAN Element Reviews/Boards and all Network ops processes, ARBs, CCBs.
- Support the coordination of the local GCC network ops teams, ensuring harmonization of an integrated MDDN, SDDN, and GDDN ops concept definition, processes implementation, procedures development and validation as well as documentation organization and development across GCC sites plus teams.
- Be responsible for cla and uncla LAN and WAN network ops procedure definition and maintenance.
- Identify and follow-up cross-GCC NW operations and security engineering improvements and inject input into the GDDN/GCS/GMS/System OID documents and meetings.
- Support Segments/System/Ops Formal Reviews/Boards and coordinate accordingly GSOp inputs and contributions.
- Interface with other SPO roles and activities and with SPO Security & Accreditation roles and activities wherever NW boundaries overlap with such other areas.
- Propose Network troubleshooting activities for incidents/anomalies that might impact the service.
- Produce technical notes, plans, reports, and other documentation as required plus regular activities status reports.
- Report about the progress of the anomaly resolution, providing inputs to the incident reports and propose plan for risk mitigation.
- Support the implementation and maintenance of the workaround database related to NW troubleshooting activities.
- Support the maintenance and update of the Risk Register related to the GDDN/MDDN and SDDN systems and infrastructures of the GSOp project.
- Have an university degree in a relevant field (e.g. Telecommunications, Electronics, Informatics, Engineering, Physics) with relevant work experience or related work experience.
- Have expertise and background in Networking Systems Engineering and/or in Ground Segment Operations in an international environment/mission.
- Have experience and background in Ground/Networks Systems AIV or Operations.
- Be experienced in managing and tasking technical teams and possess good problem analysis and solving skills.
- Have fluent written and spoken English skills and ideally fluent Italian and/or German skills.
- Be fluent in standard office automation tools (MS Office, Email, Internet, etc.).
