Position Overview

In the role of Head of Marketing Data Science & Analytics, you will lead a skilled team of Marketing Analytics Engineers. Your team will be responsible for managing all analytical data utilized by Vinted's Marketing divisions, ensuring precise reporting and optimizing the Marketing data framework. You will also guide the transition of the Marketing data model to Google Cloud Platform. Collaboration with other Marketing DSA leaders and analytics engineers from various functions will be essential to meet the data requirements of both external and internal stakeholders. Your contributions will be both hands-on and through effective delegation, reporting directly to the Director of Data Science & Analytics, Marketing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Management: Empower a team of three Analytics Engineers to reach their full potential.
  • Strategic Roadmap Planning: Maintain oversight of a 3-12 month roadmap to align stakeholder needs with the efforts of other Marketing data teams.
  • Data Migration Leadership: Strategize and implement the migration of the Marketing data model to Google Cloud Platform.
  • Data Ownership: Assume full responsibility for diverse data pipelines, integrating data from various sources while ensuring compatibility and accuracy.
  • Data Stack Scaling: Manage the complexity and growth of marketing attribution models and pipelines, ensuring robust campaign performance evaluations.
  • Quality Standards Enhancement: Introduce best practices in Analytics Engineering to elevate current and future data products.
  • Collaborative Co-creation: Partner with fellow leaders, analytics engineers, and data scientists to ensure the integrity of data pipelines.
  • Data Governance: Develop and manage data governance frameworks to uphold the quality of marketing efficiency data, including quality control and anomaly detection.

Candidate Profile

  • Proven track record in managing extensive data projects.
  • Strong business insight, analytical capabilities, and long-term strategic planning.
  • Highly organized with a collaborative mindset and a strong sense of accountability.
  • Proficient in SQL and experienced with data visualization tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau).
  • Familiar with complex ROI or marketing performance reporting frameworks.
  • Solid understanding of at least one statistical programming language (Python, R).
  • Knowledgeable in data modeling techniques for analytical purposes.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, capable of engaging with both technical and non-technical colleagues.
