About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Area Manager to join our team at Amazon SZ NRW GmbH. As an Area Manager, you will be responsible for leading a large and diverse team, ensuring that your business area is always in line with customer demand.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead by Example: Foster a culture of safety and well-being within your team, promoting a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Process Improvement: Analyze and implement corrective actions to ensure consistently high quality and productivity, as well as seamless execution of company-wide objectives.
  • Team Management: Support and lead your team, handling administrative tasks and building a strong team culture.
  • Performance Analysis: Analyze team performance and suggest process improvements to optimize workflow and customer service.
  • Collaboration: Work with other managers to standardize shift processes.
A Day in the Life

As an Area Manager, you will work in various shifts at one of our operational sites, focusing primarily on maintaining safety standards within your team and across the entire site. You will also oversee process efficiency. Your priorities will include routine team management and daily operational activities, as well as handling escalations, process improvements, and cross-functional business continuity planning.

About the Team

The Customer Fulfillment (CF) Team is the foundation of our business, responsible for fulfilling customer orders. From humble beginnings as a team of book sellers, we have evolved into a global team handling over 1.5 million orders daily. We are constantly seeking ways to offer a wider and better product selection, delivered quickly and affordably, using emerging technology.

Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree or near completion of a Bachelor's program.
  • Language Skills: Advanced English and German language skills in writing and speaking.
  • Experience: Relevant experience in data analysis.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Communication Skills: Experience communicating with various stakeholders, including colleagues and leadership.
  • Logistics Experience: Experience working in a logistics environment.
  • MS Office Skills: Experience working with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) in a professional setting.
