Job Title: Unit Set Manager 2.2 Company: Amentum

Purpose: The Unit Set Manager is responsible for overseeing the Operational Readiness mission and resource allocation in alignment with Army Preposition Stock (APS) objectives. This role entails managing Fleet Readiness at the Battalion level, ensuring compliance with Ready for Issue and Configure for Combat (CfC) standards as per Army Regulations. The manager will interpret the Modernized Table of Equipment (MTOE) and Modernized Configuration of Equipment (MCoE) to fulfill APS criteria.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Directly reports to the Supply Manager, providing logistical analysis and standardization to ensure effective prepositioned fleet management oversight.
  • Ensures comprehensive logistical management up to the Company level.
  • Works independently or collaboratively as required.
  • Maintains a responsive interface with USG customers to meet mission expectations.
  • Conducts periodic counseling and evaluations of personnel to ensure qualifications are maintained.
  • Manages multiple operations concurrently, providing updates on cost, schedule, and mission performance.
  • Oversees the management of prepositioned stock fleet in accordance with Army Regulations and contractual obligations.
  • Identifies and achieves specific mission/project benchmark goals.
  • Plans and coordinates briefings for up to BN level command and staff.
  • Collaborates in developing Concept of Support/Course of Action briefs and APS-2 Set Annual Issue Exercise requirements.
  • Tracks and analyzes operational activities and departmental metrics.
  • Coordinates multiple mission requirements, including APS Set R1 & S1 Readiness levels.
  • Assists in the sustainment program through operational analysis, planning, and readiness reporting.
  • Acts as a liaison among all functional departments to ensure cohesive results.
  • Disseminates mission guidance for all operations and taskers.
  • Develops and implements strategic initiatives to enhance the quality of the maintenance program.
  • Manages and produces Operational Concepts of Support for mission or unit issues.
  • Provides oversight of Readiness Control Analysis to maintain communication with supporting Material Readiness Center and Logistics Operation Center sections.
  • Analyzes historical data and develops continuous improvement programs in the functional area.
  • Identifies and prioritizes ONS and Taskers, assigning responsibilities and managing their implementation based on PWS requirements.
  • Publishes weekly Operational Readiness reports in compliance with Army Regulations and PWS requirements.
  • Enhances current processes and procedures, including new tracking methodologies.
  • Monitors all MTOE, MCoE, and WRSI stocks and configurations as per PWS and ARs.
  • Conducts research on data entered into AWRDS to identify and rectify discrepancies.
  • Evaluates MWO's / SOUMS / GPA's for accuracy and ensures corrections are made as necessary.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned or directed.

Required Qualifications:

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant civilian or military experience is required.
  • At least 5 years of supervisory experience is necessary.

Specialized Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Ability to interpret and implement local policies effectively.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project, and Outlook.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively.
  • Familiarity with logistics LIS systems such as GCSS Army, LMP, and LIW is essential.

Certification, License & Clearance:

  • Citizenship is required.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain a Passport.
  • Must meet and maintain all base access security requirements.
  • Secret Clearance is mandatory.

Work Environment, Physical Demands & Mental Demands:

  • Ability to perform job duties efficiently and effectively.
  • Must be capable of working in extreme environmental conditions, including dust and high temperatures.
  • Must endure long hours and exposure to various weather conditions.
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Army Logistics MOS is preferred.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Business Administration/Management, or equivalent is highly preferred; 4 additional years of experience can substitute for the degree.
