Fleet Operations Supervisor

Purpose: The Unit Set Manager is responsible for overseeing the Operational Readiness mission and resource management to support Army Preposition Stock (APS). This role entails managing Fleet Readiness at the Battalion level, ensuring compliance with Ready for Issue and Configure for Combat (CfC) standards as per Army Regulations. The manager will interpret the Modernized Table of Equipment (MTOE) and Modernized Configuration of Equipment (MCoE) to align with APS standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Directly report to the Supply Manager, providing analytical logistical standardization to ensure effective prepositioned fleet management oversight.
- Ensure comprehensive logistical oversight at the Company level.
- Work independently or collaboratively with a team as required.
- Maintain a responsive interface with USG customers to meet mission requirements and expectations.
- Conduct periodic counseling and performance appraisals of personnel to ensure retention of required qualifications.
- Manage multiple operations concurrently, providing updates on cost, schedule, and mission performance.
- Oversee the management of prepositioned stock fleet in accordance with Army Regulations and contractual obligations.
- Identify and achieve specific mission/project benchmark goals.
- Plan and coordinate briefings for up to Battalion level command and staff.
- Collaborate in the development of Concept of Support/Course of Action briefs and APS-2 Set Annual Issue Exercise requirements.
- Track and analyze operational activities and departmental metrics.
- Coordinate multiple mission requirements, including APS Set R1 & S1 Readiness levels.
- Assist in the sustainment program through operational analysis, planning, maintenance, and readiness reporting.
- Act as a liaison among all functional departments to achieve cohesive results.
- Disseminate mission guidance for all operations and taskers.
- Develop and implement strategic initiatives to enhance the quality of the maintenance program.
- Manage and produce Operational Concepts of Support to address mission or unit issues.
- Ensure oversight of Readiness Control Analysis for effective communication with all supporting Material Readiness Center and Logistics Operation Center sections.
- Analyze historical data, monitor performance benchmarks, and develop continuous improvement programs in the functional area.
- Identify, prioritize, and manage ONS and Taskers, ensuring proper implementation of processes based on PWS requirements.
- Develop and publish weekly Operational Readiness reports in accordance with Army Regulations and PWS requirements.
- Enhance current processes and procedures, including new tracking methodologies.
- Monitor all MTOE, MCoE, and WRSI stocks and configurations as per PWS and ARs.
- Conduct research on data entered into AWRDS to rectify discrepancies.
- Evaluate MWO's / SOUMS / GPA's for accuracy and ensure necessary corrections are made.
- Perform other related duties as assigned or directed.
Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience:
- 8 years of relevant civilian or military experience required.
- 5 years of supervisory experience required.
Specialized Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Ability to interpret and implement local policies effectively.
- Intermediate proficiency in MS Office applications, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project, and Outlook.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively.
- Proficiency in logistics LIS systems such as GCSS Army, LMP, and LIW.
Certification, License & Clearance:
- Citizenship required.
- Must possess or be able to obtain a Passport.
- Must meet and maintain all base access security requirements.
- Secret Clearance is required.
Work Environment, Physical Demands & Mental Demands:
- Ability to perform job duties efficiently and effectively.
- Capability to work in extreme environmental conditions, including dust and high temperatures.
- Endurance for long hours and exposure to various weather conditions.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Army Logistics MOS preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Business Administration/Management, or equivalent highly preferred. 4 additional years of experience may substitute for degree.
