Responsibilities

• Manage and mitigate legal and compliance risks at CATL's German operations, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and company policies.
• Provide expert legal support for the company's daily operations, offering guidance on matters requiring legal advice and services.
• Communicate effectively with directors, internal stakeholders, and external partners on governance matters, ensuring seamless collaboration and decision-making.
• Monitor and analyze corporate legislative, governance, and regulatory developments, driving implementation of changes as required to maintain a competitive edge.
• Lead governance standards in line with regulatory requirements and internal policies, providing expert advice and guidance on governance matters.
• Prepare and draft written resolutions, minutes, and actionable items for board and committee members and shareholders, ensuring transparency and accountability.
• Collaborate with business teams on public procurement from suppliers, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
• Manage litigation and commercial dispute matters on behalf of the company, protecting its interests and reputation.
• Handle labor issues in accordance with German laws and standards, ensuring compliance and minimizing risk.
• Deliver internal training on relevant legal issues and risk areas, enhancing the company's knowledge and expertise.

Qualifications

• Qualified German lawyer with expertise in regulations and corporate governance, possessing a strong understanding of the automotive industry.
• Minimum five years of relevant experience in law firms or in-house, with a proven track record in commercial contract matters, corporate law, and legal compliance.
• Awareness of changing laws and regulations in the renewable energy industry, with experience in contract negotiation and dispute resolution.
• Ability to work independently, as a collaborative and proactive member of the factory operations team.
• Meticulous, organized, and committed to work, with a strong focus on delivering results within deadlines.
• Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with multiple stakeholders globally.
• Fluency in both German and English, with excellent written and spoken skills.
