Responsibilities

• Manage the legal and compliance risks at CATL German operations
• Provide legal support for the company’s daily operations matters on which legal advice and services are required
• Communicate effectively with directors, internal and external stakeholders and senior management as appropriate in respect of all relevant governance matters
• Monitor corporate legislative, governance and regulatory developments and drive and support implementing changes as required
• Lead governance standards in line with regulatory requirements and internal policies and providing governance advice and guidance
• Prepare written resolutions, draft minutes and actionable items for board and committee members and shareholders for approval
• Cooperate with business teams on public procurement from suppliers
• Managing litigation and commercial dispute matters on behalf of the company
• Handling labor issues in accordance with German laws and standards
• Delivering internal training on relevant legal issues and risk areas

Qualifications

• Qualified German lawyer with professional strength in regulations and corporate governance
• With more than five years of relevant experience either from law firm or inhouse, with experience in the automotive industry as a plus
• Awareness of changing law and regulations in the renewable energy industry, with experience in commercial contract matters, corporate law and legal compliance
• Ability to work independently, as a collaborative and proactive member of the factory operations
• Must be meticulous, organized and committed to work
• Ability to work in fast-paced environment and within deadlines
• Strong interpersonal, presentation and communication skills
• Ability to build good working relationship with multiple stakeholders globally
• Excellent written and spoken German and English is imperative
