About the Role

Maersk, a global leader in integrated logistics, is seeking a seasoned Senior Communications Manager to spearhead the development of area- and project-specific communication strategies and concepts. This role will drive organizational objectives and inspire action through effective change communication.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Communication: Develop and implement comprehensive communication plans that align with business objectives, leveraging data and insights to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Insightful Navigator: Identify key issues and desired outcomes from communication initiatives, providing expert guidance on communication matters to support the Managing Director & team.
  • Content Crafting Expert: Create engaging content for internal communication channels, ensuring alignment with editorial plans and brand standards.
  • Trusted Advisor: Provide proactive guidance on communication matters, supporting the Managing Director & team in strategic planning and delivering target audience-specific messages and formats.
  • Partnership Cultivator: Collaborate with external service providers and agencies, briefing and managing relationships to deliver high-quality communication solutions that resonate with our audience and drive business impact.
  • Business Savvy Communicator: Understand the underlying business objectives behind communication plans, translating them into actionable strategies that drive organizational success.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Reliability and Initiative: A track record of reliability, goal orientation, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, demonstrating a high degree of initiative in achieving objectives.
  • Data Guardianship: Exhibit trustworthy handling of sensitive data, maintaining confidentiality and integrity in all communication-related activities.
  • Tech Proficiency: Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with strong spelling and grammar skills, enabling seamless creation and delivery of communication materials.
  • Language Mastery: Fluent in both German and English, facilitating effective communication across diverse audiences and channels.
  • Educational Background: Completed bachelor's degree in communication sciences, media studies, journalism, or a related field, providing a solid foundation for success in this role.
  • Strategic Insight: Initial professional experience in communication, consulting, or strategy development, with the ability to communicate effectively with internal decision-making groups.
  • Adaptability and Creativity: Demonstrate a keen sense of topics and trends, coupled with exceptional communication skills and the ability to tailor messages to different target groups effectively.
  • Tech Savvy: Familiarity with MS Office and content management systems, adept at target audience-specific content preparation and distribution.
