Position Overview
The R&D/Product Development Engineering Teams at TE Connectivity are tasked with innovating and implementing original concepts for new products. They oversee the entire product lifecycle, from market analysis to production and launch. This includes aiding in the assessment of suppliers for new products to guarantee that they provide high-quality components, materials, and services for enhanced manufacturing processes. The teams conduct feasibility assessments and testing on both new and revised designs, guiding and assisting in detailed design, prototype development, and manufacturing scale-up. Additionally, they are responsible for generating comprehensive product documentation, which encompasses Solid Models, 2D/3D production drawings, product specifications, and testing criteria. The team also creates and revises detailed schematics and conceptual models based on layouts, rough sketches, or notes, contributing to design enhancements that improve manufacturing efficiency and product quality. Areas of expertise typically include: materials science, mechanics, systems engineering, electrical engineering, optics, chemistry, software, automation systems, packaging, testing and measurement, and the manufacturing of electrical, mechanical, and electronic components and their integration into systems.Key Responsibilities:
Innovates original concepts for new products and translates them into practical applications. Manages product development and validation from market analysis through to production and launch. Assists in the evaluation of suppliers for new products to ensure the delivery of quality components, materials, and services. Conducts feasibility studies and testing on new and modified designs. Guides and supports detailed design, prototype development, and manufacturing scale-up. Produces all necessary product documentation, including Solid Models, 2D production drawings, product specifications, and testing criteria. Creates and modifies detailed schematics and conceptual models from layouts, rough sketches, or notes, contributing to design improvements that enhance manufacturing operations or product quality. Submits all intellectual property information to legal according to policy and prior to public disclosure. Typical areas of expertise include: Electrical engineering and manufacturing of electrical components Mechanical and electronic components, products, and their integration into systems is advantageousDesired Qualifications:
Technical proficiency in Electrical Engineering & Energy products/applications. Degree in High Voltage Electrical Engineering or equivalent. A disciplined and systematic approach to technical tasks and problem-solving. Experience in stress management in high-voltage applications. Knowledge of medium and high voltage energy products. Language Skills: Proficient in English, with strong written and verbal communication abilities. Proficiency in German is a plus.Core Competencies
