About the Role
The Sr Electrical Engineer will be a key member of the Innolab team at TE Connectivity, responsible for the development of products required for the transmission and distribution of electric energy. This includes cable accessories, smart grid systems, insulation & protection, and connectors & fittings for LV, MV & HV applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and development of cable accessories and smart grid products for medium and high-voltage applications
- Preparation, setup, and execution of electrical tests and trials on new and existing products in our in-house high-voltage laboratory
- Product development and qualification from market definition through production and release
- Conception of new ideas for new technologies and products and their implementation
- Feasibility studies and testing on new and modified designs
- Provision of all required documentation
- Collaboration in an international development team and interdisciplinary collaboration within the company and with suppliers
Requirements
- Above average engineering degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with focus on high voltage engineering
- Advanced knowledge on numerical calculation software (e.g. COMSOL, ANSYS Maxwell)
- Knowledge of setting up, carrying out, and analyzing experiments and tests in the high-voltage laboratory
- Knowledge in development of sensors for smart grid systems (e.g. voltage sensors)
- Knowledge of relevant standards for cable accessories and sensors is a plus
- Basic knowledge in the field of material science is an advantage
- Written and spoken fluency in English
