About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Procurement Manager to join our team at SYNLAB Germany. As a key member of our procurement team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of modern laboratory diagnostics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the direct procurement of SYNLAB Germany, working closely with our global procurement team.
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize costs and ensure supply chain security.
  • Identify new suppliers and evaluate existing ones to ensure the best possible outcomes.
  • Monitor and mitigate risks in the procurement environment.
  • Foster collaboration between the global procurement team, functional departments, and operational procurement.
  • Oversee the Salix and Pre-Sourcing processes at the national level.
  • Ensure budget compliance for direct procurement in SYNLAB Germany.
  • Be responsible for tactical and strategic procurement processes.
  • Lead local tenders and negotiations, as well as support global initiatives.
  • Manage supplier negotiations for all direct product categories.
  • Provide disciplinary leadership and guidance, as well as develop procurement specialists.
  • Manage personnel planning and promote a positive team culture.

Requirements

  • A degree in Business Administration or a related field.
  • Several years of experience in procurement, preferably in a leadership position.
  • Experience in the diagnostics and/or healthcare industry is an asset.
  • Strong analytical, conceptual, and project management skills.
  • Entrepreneurial thinking and global action.
  • Proficiency in multiple languages (English is mandatory), excellent MS Office skills.
  • Experience in category management and working within international networks is an asset.
  • Reliability, solution-oriented thinking, and teamwork skills complete your profile.
