ABOUT THE POSITION:

The Director of Product Marketing at Talon GmbH will spearhead the formulation and implementation of our product marketing strategy. This role will engage with the go-to-market team to propel initiatives that enhance product positioning, pricing strategies, packaging, and competitive differentiation. Furthermore, the Director of Product Marketing will collaborate closely with the product and sales teams to deepen our understanding of the target market, ensuring our offerings align with customer requirements and market dynamics. This role is crucial in synchronizing our marketing endeavors with business goals to foster growth and establish market leadership.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Market Insights & Evaluation: Perform comprehensive customer, market, pricing, and competitive analysis to uncover customer needs, market trends, and growth opportunities.
  • Communication & Positioning: Develop persuasive narratives to articulate our vision of transforming the Loyalty & Promotions sector and connect our product with technical, marketing, and executive audiences. Collaborate with the existing Product Marketing Management team to refine and enhance Talon GmbH's messaging, ensuring uniformity across all channels and materials, particularly for Sales, Success, and Product teams.
  • Product Development Influence: Work closely with the Product team to shape the product roadmap by providing market insights and customer feedback. Ensure product development is in sync with market demands and opportunities. This includes leading market sizing initiatives and white-space analysis to pinpoint strategic business opportunities and make prioritization recommendations.
  • Pricing Strategy: Formulate innovative and impactful pricing and packaging strategies for both new and existing products. Align the revenue organization with these strategies, empowering field teams to utilize new pricing and programs effectively.
  • Competitive Analysis: Become proficient in competitive research, identifying areas of strength and differentiation for Talon GmbH. Develop sales strategies that facilitate business growth and customer success.
  • Go-to-Market Execution: Utilize competitive insights to construct and implement strategic sales initiatives in collaboration with marketing and sales leaders. Develop and execute go-to-market strategies for new product launches, ensuring alignment with overarching business objectives alongside the existing Product Marketing Management team.
  • Strategic Support: Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success teams to ensure internal teams are equipped and that content reaches the appropriate audiences.
  • Performance Metrics & Reporting: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of pricing strategies and product initiatives. Regularly present findings and recommendations to the executive team to foster consensus and action among executive stakeholders.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 7+ years of experience in customer experience martech B2B SaaS product marketing and go-to-market (GTM) strategies (prior direct experience is essential for this senior role).
  • Experience in business consulting, product management, or marketing is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Outstanding communication skills, with the capability to translate technical features into benefits for a diverse audience.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Adept at recognizing and analyzing market trends, competitor activities, and user needs across various segments.
  • Excellent prioritization skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • A genuine passion for delivering customer value and addressing challenges.
