You will be an integral member of the Mapping and Perception department, collaborating with a diverse team dedicated to delivering exceptional mapping solutions that digitize physical spaces by creating photorealistic digital twins. THE TEAM'S MISSION THIS YEAR
To enhance our software solutions that facilitate the mapping of entire structures and generate realistic 3D representations using state-of-the-art robotics technology.
HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
- You will play a key role in developing, testing, refining, and sustaining the software and processes essential for calibrating our Mobile Mapping Systems (MMS).
- You will engage in the entire calibration process, from conceptualization to production deployment.
- You will work closely with our production team to identify, escalate, and resolve challenges related to our calibration processes and tools.
- You will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and enhancing the technical documentation associated with calibration.
WHAT WILL HELP YOU SUCCEED IN THE ROLE
- A Master's degree or Ph.D. in computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in sensor calibration, with a focus on cameras, laser scanners/LIDARs, and IMUs.
- Proficiency in C++ development and related tools, along with solid coding skills in Python.
- Familiarity with Linux and command-line operations.
- A strong commitment to data quality and process improvement throughout the calibration workflow.
ADDITIONAL PREFERENCES
- Experience with C++ libraries such as Ceres, ROS, Boost, Eigen, OpenCV, or PCL.
- Background in modeling and solving complex optimization problems, particularly in 2D/3D geometries.
